    Uh, probably both. It was my friend and I mounting it so we put it directly under the truck, lifted it up and sorta slid it on good enough to get two bolts in to support the weight while we adjusted it.

    Would that make a difference somehow?

    O, I thought you were talking about having it lock so you can't open it and access the tailgate. I can see locking the gas tanks for city folk. I cringe when I have to drive down to denver. I fear I am gonna come back to my truck sometime and it will be on blocks :laugh:.

    Sorry-just saw this question! At the moment, we are still in the prototype stages of the front plate bumper for the 4th & 5th Gen 4Runners... the rear bumper will be after that :)
