    Cool. I have huge channel Locks I was thinking of using with a rag wrapped around the cap to prevent the teeth from scratching the cap.

    Mine was like this originally, but once I put the spare tire on there, and drove around for a month, it has now settled and locks up just about right. Figured it just needed a little settling in.

    Quick question for the folks with swing outs. About to put mines on and was wondering how to go about putting the internals of the hinge together i.e. The bearing, dust seal etc., and what order to do it in. Somewhat unclear with the instructions. Do you place the dust seal and drop bearings in while the gat is off then throw it back on? I'm under the impression the dust seal goes on the spindle located on the bumper, then follow up by placing gate on with bearing inside. Any help or pictures would be appreciated.

    The way I did mine, was to put the bottom bearing into the swing out, then tap in the dust shield (which was a pain in the ass, seemed it was about 1/2mm too big). This held it together while placing it on the spindle. Once on the spindle, I had a buddy lift the end of the swing out, while I placed the top bearing, washer, and castle nut on. Make sure the bearings are packed before inserting them, then when everything was tightened up, I put in more grease via the zerk fitting.

    @Pelfreybilt Where would one purchase a dust sheild replacement? Having my gate powder coated and will need to remove bearing and dust sheild.
