FYI: For those of you who used Pay Pal you have 180 days to open a dispute. I didn't read all the small print (YMMV).

oh most credit cards are 90-120 days for dispute, and I'm not trying to go that route even if it were possible (as I dont think it'll be beneficial to moving this to a positive outcome for a majority of the people., but i dont blame those that can and will jump ship. I really l want to give them all the chance to right the ship.

Here is another scenario, just a hypothetical.
Put people and vendors off long enough to file Bankruptcy to keep from having to pay vendors and refund customers.
I’ve seen it happen. Not saying that’s what’s happening here, but a possibility.
    Thoughts ??

This shit happens, especially in somewhat niche automotive markets, no matter how good their social media presence or supporter base.

I know you're not seeking anything but the FTC a few years added online orders to their mail and phone rules that state a backorder must be shipped with 30 days of the order or promised date. If the delay is longer than 30 days they have to either get your permission to extend the backorder or give you the option for a refund. I think it's essentially breach of contract at that point. The reason credit card companies usually go 90 days is I think there's some legal statement about allowing 2 billing cycles for a refund. Anyway, I don't know what was promised and what communication Pelfreybilt was offering, but for someone not in the position where they can eat the money calling the credit card company or pursuing FTC & legal options (like at least getting in line for partial refund or want to be part of asset liquidation) would be a good idea no matter how long it's been.

    BTW - I am NOT a lawyer...

Ordered Front and Rear Bumpers in mid May. Was told in early August that I would receive them August 15th. Nothing to date has arrived. I called and emailed Pelfreybilt numerous times and no response. This is BS. Today, I cancelled my order and started a claim/dispute through my credit card company. The credit card company have credited my account and are moving forward with the dispute, they had no issues doing so. I have no customer loyalty to a company that blows off their customers like that. There are a lot of other companies producing excellent competitive products. I'm not willing to wait another 3 months to see if Pelfreybilt survives and I do not want to risk loosing $3500 if they go bankrupt.

That's my feeling, too. I don't mind a deposit down on something not stocked and/or custom made. That's understandable to make sure you're serious and that means both you and the vendor are sharing the risk. I've been around long enough to know how hard it is to build trust and how easy it is for reality to smack you in the face (Downey and All-Pro), so it's not insulting IMO to expect more than just a handshake.

    Workin' on it....
I purchased my front bumper from another vendor and I put a $100 deposit down, he sent me an invoice for the balance when it was just going up on the bench for welding and from deposit to shipping notification was just a couple of days over 4 weeks. I very much appreciate how he does business and his product is excellent.

That’s one end of the spectrum.

On the other end I had ordered some parts from another vendor, paid in full up front and it took 10 months to receive them. Both vendors provided truly excellent products but it was a bit irritating having to send numerous email inquiries on the status of my parts to that second vendor.

Fab shops are run all different ways and some better than others.

(first i am speaking to all the members like myself who don't have large current orders or money down on stuff) come on guys lets wait it out. Personally I was pissed at first cause I have been trying to get in touch with someone to order a considerable amount of stuff and got nothing for 3 weeks... and rightfully so I am Still not happy about that.. but non the less lets see if they make it right. They have some of the best stuff to offer and until this current royal mess up on the "damage control" they have been good to the TW family as far as ive seen and read. As far as the people with the money down is concerned you guys obviously have more skin in the game than me but all im saying is maybe sit tight just a little longer... lets not form the mob just yet...

If someone has money out on this it's not in their best interest to "wait it out." The clock is ticking to file those chargebacks.

Until your on the other side of the counter when the customer say's yeah um I don't want it anymore, the wife said, money is tight this month, etc. In the mean time you have labor and materials sitting in something

the other side of that is if everyone who can chargeback does it it’s a guarantee almost to screw those of us who can’t and it’s not fair to them to automatically put them in the boat with us.

total catch-22 for all of us.
