Also digging around on the 4Runner forum there was a very long detailed post by a "new" member. Strange that he has that much inside information.

Well I'm sure this whole thing is raising alarms across the board. This is a perfect example that any vendor here could end up like this.

I'm curious to what really happened. I recall looking on their website not long ago they had a ton of stock on the shelves so maybe they were over producing, i dont know. I do know they were a bit late to the party with the 3rd gen. When I bought my Tacoma and looked for aftermarket products a couple years ago, other companies already had skids, sliders and bumpers, Pelfreybilt had nothing. I would check back from time to time and still nothing.

Interesting that he claims "they have not touched the Deposit money and have 50+ Bumpers ready to ship"

Isn't that right there the solutions, provided they have not touched the deposit funds, ship bumpers and recognize the sales revenue- rinse and repeat.

I remember seeing 600+ open orders somewhere. I think it was an email from Michael, I'll see if I can find it.

All I know for a fact is that I'd pay the balance due (+ shipping) on my pre-order right meow, if they'd show me a picture of it sitting on the dock...

On the next episode of American Greed......

But seriously, any signs of order ramp ups/recent promotions that indicate inciting people to order before pulling an exit scheme? Could have made off with ~$500k in cash.

They aren't just going to get away with taking 500k from credit card companies.....Its not exactly a sound proof exit scheme. This thread is getting way to outta hand.

    Workin' on it....
I hope this gets resolved soon and people get updated. About 4 weeks ago I called Pelfreybilt 3 times over the course of about 10 days and left messages for a call-back because I wanted to place a small order but nobody responded.

If this gets sorted out appropriately, I still want to order those items....

Good job. Geez, I know where to find my next PI! If I had money tied up with them and paid by PayPal or credit, I’d be contacting my card company to find out my options. Not to create anxiety but if they file Chapter 7 vs 13 folks could be out of luck. I’m hoping this works out and they can stay afloat.

Google Chapter 7 bankruptcy. It happens every day. That’s why interest rates are what they are for cards, to cover risks. :)

I wonder? Seems like they where all over All-Pro during their TW fiasco but this time not so much.

Chapter 7 just doesn't clear all debts. It will go to a judge. Non-dischargeable debt can keep if the debt was incurred on the basis of fraud. Which this would be......

I understand that completely BUT we both know 7 is basically a turnip rule and it’s going to be almost impossible to prove fraud in this case because of the intent element. So you get a judgment, who will pay you and out of what funds? I admit I haven’t practiced bankruptcy law in many years and personally hate it (you tend to see the same people over and over) but it’s an uphill climb to get blood from a turnip. In the end, a lot of people will be out of a lot of money under this scenario. I continue to hope for the best and will refrain from further comment. Best of luck!

IIRC, the AllPro deal took a few weeks to unfold. Give it a few days and I'm sure more "facts" will come out. At that point, expect TW to stand up and be counted.

From the "Damn.....Ain't that a bitch Dept"..... This time last year, I was finally doing the mods to my truck that I had to put on hold while I dealt with kidney cancer. Finally got my bumpers, skids, sliders, winch, etc...

The plan was everything Pelfreybilt except the winch. I ordered as they were having a very substantial moving sale. 3 piece skids, front and rear bumpers, but they had a 3 month lead time on sliders. So I bought AllPro.... My sliders were at the house in 6 days. No issues. Pelfreybilt sent everything in less than 2 weeks. My credit card wasn't charged until the day my stuff shipped. They sent the wrong front bumper. The correct one was sent out immediately after I informed them. I got free powder coating for the trouble. I helped them sell the "wrong bumper". They probably lost $500+ on that swap....But they did everything they could to be helpful.

Fast forward a few months. AllPro implodes. Now Pelfreybilt may be on the skids.... I "missed" all the issues and may have orphan armor.

This doesn't help anyone caught in the crossfire now, but.....DAMN....

@ChrisJHarney So what's the deal man? The 4th has come and gone. Have you spoken with the Pelfrey's lately?
