Hey folks...I'm considering adding a front mount hitch to my 2010 DCSB, and I'd like to get a good idea of what the front mount looks like installed. Anyone have it with pictures to share? I saw one that passed me on the road, but didn't get to inspect it closely.

I have a front mount hitch integrated in my steel plate bumper. Does that count?

I'm looking for something like the Curt front-mount hitch...not the CBI one that hides in behind the grill.

Looks like it'd reduce your approach angle fairly significantly.

I like having the option to remove it or fold it up when i dont need it. with that i couldn even park in my garage. the door would close on it.

The hitch comes out of the reciever. I leave it in there as a step and because people like to try to get as close as possible when parking here. Even had a couple tap my bumper before I put it in. But yes, I do have to pull the front and rear hitch off before I can close the door to the garage.

That Elite is nice for that application, but it's not what I'm really looking for... Any others?

I know what you are talking about. I dont know about now, but in '10 I looked at trying to find a bolt on forward hitch and no one had any info on anyone that made it for the 2nd gen Tacomas, they couldnt even get me info on a towing set (to flat tow the truck).

I'm lost, why would you need a front hitch in the first place? [Besides the jeep one]

I have seen winch setups that go on a hitch, so you can swap between front and back, depending on where you are stuck and where the nearest anchor point is.
Also, people parking trailers or letting boats in the water sometimes have more control if they can see the trailer in front of them.

Not sure what OP wants to do with it.:notsure:

We've made a few that go behind the stock bumper. Totally hidden with the exception of the actual center part poking through the lower grill in the bumper. Requires slight trimming of that lower grill, nothing major though. I'll see if I can get brutalguyracing to post up some of his pics of it.
