I’m preparing to sell my truck soon and I decided to flash it back to stock. I selected the correct file (04B04 stock), the tuning went through OK and gave me the success confirmation. Immediately when I tried to turn over the truck it wouldn’t start. Now trying to connect to it again vftuner gives me this error. What do I do?

I have this for communication malfunctions when I tried to diagnose in techstream

Ecu is bricked. Need a cable to recover
That stock file is no good. Reach out to your tuner.

Do I need a cable other than my tactrix? I flashed it myself.

Sucks quite a few people are getting burned by this bad stock file with no official word from Matt about it (as far as I know).

If in a pickle, lots of local junk yards had my version of ECU laying around for $175~. Either way, you gotta rip the ECU out...fun.

Still waiting to hear back from Matt for my access key to the ECU recovery tool, I read up on the struggle you went through with this, I'm really hoping I get lucky.

Hopefully it'll work for you..but be prepared to yank the ECU out. The harness is actually quite easy to make if you have the right wire/pins I believe I linked in that thread.
