So i have fuel up to the motor plenty of fuel pressure checked on the gauge way over 60lbs after market pump. I have spark on all the plug wires on the driver side. IT tries to start just wont stay running acts like it dosent have either fuel or spark and has both or as it seems. Happened after my batttery got drained jumped it pullinto the garage changed out so0me seals on the axles started it let it idle it died let it ist for 30min then it re fired. Yesterday it did same on the trailer got it to fire yeasterday put it on the battery charger and now nothing. Just trying to get some short of idea where to stat thanks

it is fully charged now is there somehow where it would make the ecm shutoff. Does it need 12v like the chevy vortec motors do

tried pulling the EFI fuse at all? I don't know if it would do anything. I know it resets the ECM on my 98 corolla

Maybe you need to clean the fuel injectors? How do the spark plugs look?

Fuel, timed spark, compression = run

Check for spark again. Pull a plug first, have someone turn it over and make sure it sparks regularly and with a good strong spark. Check the computer for any codes. Did you have any work done? Anything that could change the timing? Distributor out for any reason?

Sure sounds like timing to me.

Check the intake system for leaks or holes. Make sure all the clamps are tight. a big air leak will make it run rough when the gas is applied and will not idle at all.

Cool i will look for vacum leaks and will check my injectors.
I pulled each plug wire on the drivers side and cranked it it sparks as much as my hei does on my hot rod so i think that is good maybe idk how to check for sure. I busted the banjo bolts on the fuel rails and it had a ton of pressure well over 60. I pulled both battery cables for 30 min along with the efi fuse and relay and it still did the same thing thats when i pulled the filter and sprayed into upper intake and it would idle like crap and eventally octane knock and i would stop doin it. The motor trans and tcase are in a rock buggy so it throws codes but has been like that for 4 years with no problems and then battery goes dead then this. I tried to hook up to diagnosis port and it wouldnt even connect. So that didnt help me.

1 what controls the fuel to go back to the return is it a valve or a diaphram type.
2.is there any way to check the injectors or wiring harness without pulling everything.
    3. is there anyway that the battery droping like that would kill the ecu of coil packs

Any other help would be apprciated, This is my first yota always worked in chevy stuff so any tips or tricks would be awesome. i have allready replaced the fuel pump and both filters because thats what it acted like to me since the spark was there .

thanks i will try that what is the easiest way to check the timing belt but i dont think it would be because it would idle like crap for couple min but when it would warm up it would run freaking awesome. It did this to me twice before it took a dump on me thanks.

Unplug the MAF sensor and start it up. If it's that it will run with the check engine light on. How about water in the fuel, is that possibility for you?
