I just installed my toytec coilovers and got way to much lift out of them. I think its because i have a 4cyl. The engine weight difference may have made the difference. but after adjsuting it many times i got it to be about 3.5"s of lift. Is this to much? Im going to do the diff drop kit tomorrow.

    Measurements
Front: 23.5" on both sides (Measuring from center of hub to bottom of fender)

    4cyl 4x4 reg cab:

Wheeler 3 leaf AAL in back & I left the stock overload leaf in.
    23.5" left and right.

TRD shocks/springs from a double cab V6 in front w/ a Wheeler 1.25" spacer on top.
    23" left and right.

I think I might go with a thinner ~1/2" spacer in front because I'm nervous about CV joints and boots. Looks like I'm pushing the 3" recommended max. And it was a bitch getting the 1.25" in there - feel like I'm stressing things a bit much.

I think when I get new tires I am going to upsize to 285/75-16 from 265/75-16. Since are measurements are pretty close to each other how much trimming did you have to do on the front? Did you rub at all? Cut the cab mounts?

    Thanks....

I haven't done any trimming. The only time I rub is when I back up with the wheel cranked.

my premeasurement was 20 3/16 on the passanger side, that is what i baised my front off of due to taco lean. i am now at 23 1/4" on each side. is that to much ?
seems great to me, but i don't want to screw up the truck. i have 285/70/17 firestone dest. a/t. i did trim my cab mounts, it was easy as heck. if you do it make sure you use the thin cutting wheel on your grinder. not the thick, grinding one. it
blows right through it. i have not boxed them in yet, b/c i wanted to make sure i trimmed them enough.

Ome 885's with top spacer, 2" toytec AAL in the rear 3" OME kit from Toytec

Center of hub to bottom of fender

    Front

    L/R- both 23"

    Ground to bottom fender

    L/R- both 37 7/8"

    Rear

L/R- both 39" from the ground to bottom fender.

The kit only lifted my tacoma 2.5" and thats with the top spacer! Nice lift but should be labeled a 2.5" kit. IMO.

    any more measurements...

I just installed SAW coil overs in the front, sitting at about 22.5" at the moment so I will jack it up a bit. I guess to about 23.25" would be about safe for cv's?

Waiting for my AAL to settle but sitting at 25" at the moment
