That is exactly how mine looked when they replaced it. Screach from hell too.

2500 miles on my Pro- mine looked like this as well.
I spent 2 hours trying to get the energy suspension mounts installed, fail.
The mounting holes between the frame and the body are off so much there's no way I can get to line up. I'm going to have to take it to shop, it just needs some force applied in the right ways, but nothing I can do in the driveway.
Bummed, at least there's a fix though.

FYI, I see others mounting these upside down. The bigger poly puck should be between the body and frame mount. The smaller should be on the bottom, under the frame mount.

I wonder if it is different for the 2nd gen. Did you notice this on yours? This guy on Amazon mentioned it should be reversed and the other close up pic with red bushings on the first page also has them flipped with the larger thicker puck on the bottom.

No hood and grille alignment issues with yours?

@CanyonRunner - good question. CanyonRunner, are the red ones pictured here installed like yours - large or small puck on the top?

It certainly does.... but then there's this other guy who has a mixed up combo. LOL.

I'll have to check and measure when I get to mine. So far, it's been quiet with almost 12k on ODO. Maybe I'll yank them just for inspection just to see and take measurements before they're compressed.

Check it out, from the same thread you posted, but a page back. Larger washer on top/ small puck on top with large poly puck on bottom and small washer on the bottom. Small washer doesn't quite encapsulate the bushing, while top has visible washer gap. Even from the lower perspective, the washer still appears bigger.

This is the red bushing install from the first page
These appear to be the mixed up ones.

I thought there was a bonafide replacement kit for the 2nd Gen (appears to be what peppinoss installed), where as we're installing a more generic kit in the 9.4101.

It probably doesn't matter, but I'll take a 1/4 body lift to boot. Maybe I need to replace all my cab mounts.

Good idea on the slight cab mount lift, but they're going to be really stiff. Did swap to poly pucks on my last truck without additional lift. Don't forget to shim the bed too.

Try this. 23mm box wrench. Pry bar just would not work for me. Fingertip pressure with the wrench.

I installed the universal kit with the large bushing on top and only had to adjust my rubber hood bumper one full turn on the drivers side. I am aware this is in third gen section but I think the trucks are very similar here.

    Have a different problem.
The body side of the mount is about 1/2in forward of the frame mount. I literally can't get the bolt back through with the body raised and inch. I need to flex the body back- not sure what to do...

What prevents the body from shifting when the bolt is removed?

This has been an issue on all 3 of my 2nd gens and I also replaced them on my '16 at about 10k miles.

I don't think the body is shifting. It's just naturally loosely toleranced. If the cab was still hanging on the factory assembly rack and all 6 attachment points were loose the mounts would likely all line up easily, but given 5 are now attached, and the cab has shifted to its natural position you should expect some "disagreement" in line up.

Has anyone began experiencing a popping sound coming from the new mounts? My driver's side seems to pop when making turns or going over bumps. Thought it was just loose so I tightened it up which helped for a few days but it's back again. I noticed now that when I go to tighten it up, I can hear the same popping.

probably because the poly urethane bushings do not flex at all when the rest of the chassis
is flexing and putting more stress at the mounting points, poly bushings are a great thing but they aren't always applicable to every situation under the sun, because there needs to be some give and flex and poly bushings wont give any and will over stress/twist other parts of the chassis when they should be more flex.

What about the body mounts behind the front tires - the ones that people chop off? Do they have to be replaced also or not?

Bumping this thread as I'm thinking this may be the issue I'm having and I'm looking for advice.

Currently my truck has a pronounced creak/noise that I can usually only hear at low speeds and gets more pronounced when steering (say in a tight parking garage, as an example). Noise is definitely coming from the driver side. I took the truck into my dealership last week, and they did acknowledge the noise. They spent close to a week on it, then I got a call last week saying they were flexing the suspension and somehow got some dirt or a rock to shake loose and claimed that "fixed" the issue. Picked the truck up on Saturday and almost immediately noticed that the noise was still there.

I'm planning to take the truck back to the dealer today or tomorrow, but when they had it last week they were sure the issue was suspension related (they even replaced my entire front left shock and shock mount while troubleshooting), but now I'm thinking this might be my issue. Any advice on how to approach this when discussing with the dealer? I know service guys usually hate when customers come in and try to tell them how to do their job, but I'm thinking they may not be considering that the issue is not suspension related.

Check Out My Build Thread :)
just ordered mine and plan on doing it asap! mine just started the creaking noise and i can replicate it from moving the truck side to side so i know this will fix the issue... with so many great posts on here with great information i was wondering is it capable to lift just one side at a time to replace each side individually? i wasnt sure if it would make a large enough gap doing one side since the other would still be bolted down? btw i have just under 50K on my 2016 so i guess i lucked out with mine lasting as long as they have compared to some of the rest of you with 1/3 of the mileage.
