Home built Mid Travel Front and rear, need help new to this
Ive followed you for a bit of stuff, seems you did a ton of research prior and know what your looking for. Im fixing issues with what i bought while improving at the same time. Hopefully i can get a build thread started even tho i didnt build it from dcratch rather learn and improve from what i had. Lucky a lot of the key parts were good.

Hey, man. Do you have any update pictures of the rear set up? I have a DC too and I’m curious what the truck would look like with the tundra axle.
I’m about to install Total Chaos SUA kit but I’m undecided if I want to swap the stock axle with a tundra.

Do fiberglass bedsides if you want to keep the bed - it's time consuming, but not hard. You can either drill out all the spot welds or cut the sheet metal and put the bedsides over. If you want to run your shocks outside of the frame for better performance you'll need the Tundra axle plus possible spacers.

@Dalandser Thanks, I already have bedsides from Advance. I just wanted to see what it would look like with the Tundra axle.

@94jdmeg6civic Thanks, the truck looks good. What size tire are you running?

2.5x16 triple bypass and I got bumps too. After seeing OP's pics, I might do the swap and keep the bed unless I convenice myself of ditching the bed. I dont really need the bed, this isn't my daily.

Well, if I keep the stock axle, I was told that I'll need to install them inboard. With the Tundra axle, I'll install them outboard.

Precisely. There's really no deal breaker either way. When possible to mount shocks further outboard people tend to due to increased performance versus inboard - since you have an axle and you'd at least run spacers on the stock axle I imagine, installing the tundra axle would help all the above.

Keep the bed, that's my opinion. Miss it on my truck, would be nice to haul fire wood or dirt bikes ect.
