    Hey Guys,
What exactly is the TSB for rear springs? I just bought a 2009 tacoma access cab, with 33,000 miles on it. Manual transmission.
Will they give me new springs? I currently have 3 leaves.. Haven't loaded it up with dirt yet, but from what I am reading, this isn't really a "hauling" kind of truck..
Thanks in advance for the info.
    Dewey

Hi Dewey, if you are going to try to have it done, you need to hurry. They won't even consider it after 36,000 miles. If the truck bottoms out with weight in it, they can change out the 3 leaf springs for 4 leaf springs. Some dealers are more helpful than others. I'll give you 2 links, one to read up on the TSB and another is a list of dealers that people have used and how they made out.

the 3 leaf gives a great ride, but not great when you need to haul something.

    so which is more important?

I had mine done and the ride is stiffer and better and I've never had a problem with the ride witht he truck fully loaded on camping trips and loaded with firewood. It's a huge improvment over stock.

Again, Thanks for the info. Just went in yesterday to my dealership, and told them what happened..Loaded my ZZR1200 in the back, had a "harsh ride", and bottomed out one time, and I would like TSB 0305-08 performed before I get over the 36,000.
Not one question, ordered the parts, said they would be in Monday, and they would call as to when I wanted them to put them in..
    Fingers crossed..

TSB success!! Got my 4leaf springs installed, aligned...AND a loaner truck..
    Sullivan Brothers in Kingston, MA..rocks
Although they wouldn't give me the old 3 leaf packs back....would have made a great trailer project..
    Oh well,
Thanks to the info on this site, I saved a bunch of cash..almost makes the dues that I have been sending in worth it..
