Had these in my truck for around a year and half. Yesterday I got a check engine light and the code was po352= ignition coil problem. I talked to some members and they had the same problem with these coils. Luckily I saved my original oem ones and put them back in.

Yep, Ripp packs suck. OEM is best.

I’ve been running Ripp coils for a while now with no issues whatsoever. Prior to the Ripps, I did try the accel coils which were very problematic… similar to the OPs.

OP- did you reach out to Ripp? Curious as to their response if so.

I didn't reach out to anyone from Ripp. I just ask some members here who had them and they all have they same problem.

Got p0300 error code (misfire) and took out my RIPPs bought them right before I started to hear about the problems. They lasted less than 1 year installed before I got my first error. All felt tight on removal when I uninstalled. The error actually went away after short wait and restart but I wasn;t willing to risk future issues.

Factory coils still going strong after 20 years. OEM for the win.

Unless you own a Ford 4.6L, 5.4L, or 6.8L coils are not a maintenance item, you replace them as they fail and use OEM only.

I replaced mine at 90k because I was about to move half way across the country. They're cheap enough to replace every 100k and not hard to do. IMO, it's better than being stranded somewhere.

I agree 100% and I’ll add the Ford 6.2L to the list. Spark plugs, plug wires (6.2), and ignition coils in Fords have a tendency to fail before 100k.

I guess but I rarely see Toyota OEM coils go bad, same with injectors but yet I constantly see where people replace them "just because" and many times with aftermarket/knockoff junk then they wonder why it runs worse than it did before.

IMO if your worried about a coil failing carry a spare with you, takes like 5 min to swap out .

Yea although I don't often see those misfire, usually they are shooting spark out the side of the coil but still run fine. They are proud of those 6.2L coils too.
The old 4.6/5.4/6.8 engines were terrible with ignition and spark plug issues, constantly water/oil/coolant in the plug tubes, shit coils, blown out spark plugs on the 2v engines and broken spark plugs on the 3v engines.

That's assuming you can figure out which coil has failed. If you don't have any tools with you, it might be challenging.

Installed RIPP coils on my 2016 Tacoma at 61k miles, had issues at 67k miles. Absolute junk and a complete waste of $, stick with OEM, period.

Not only unreliable (threw my Tacoma into 30mph Limp-mode on a freeway), zero response from Customer Support. Stay far away.
