the 2010 FJ's have a rubber type floor instead of carpeting.

Anyone know of a package I can buy or how to do this to my tacoma? Trying searching now.....

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
I looked into this when I purchased my 07 and there is NO factory option or package from Toyota. There apparently some after market options out there but are expensive and pretty involved..

I'd agree Toyota should offer this option and it is my major pet peeve about the truck.. why put car carpeting in a truck? At least it should have been berber.

I have had trucks before with the rubber flooring and that was an awesome feature, easy to clean out - just an air hose.

    Too bad.

Did you look at the site ? These are a better that mats , in that they cover almost all of the carpet where you place your feet both front and back of my Doublecab . They are custom sized and are vehicle specific .

Good luck in your search , if you find something better post it up . :)

They are definitely the absolut best alternative. I just hate the carpet and want to get rid of it alltogether, for a resonable price of course, just trying to find out if thats possible.

Lotta mud and snow build up in my car in the winter, living in the mountains of colorado and all.

For the life of me I can't find it now, but when I was looking for the new carpet for my first gen I remember seeing that the same company makes vinyl floor liners to replace the carpet.

I wish I had installed one of these now, instead of the carpet.

It says on the weather tech website that the mats dont fit manual transmission model.

I have the base 5lugger Taco. The most base model you can get without the rear sliding window. It has light gray carpet and floormats  After not even two months the mats are dirty and everything shows on the light gray carpet. I use my truck for work not show... Hmm.. If its bad after two months, how bad is it going to be after a few years??? Seriously Toyota??

Honestly the only option I am seeing is to rip the carpet out when it gets too dirty and cover the floor with spray bedliner... That will be black and durable enough....

Others have done some trimming to the Automatic transmission set with good results .

There is a reasonable amount of wiring under the carpet. You might want to find some pics of what the cab looks like without carpet before you tear yours out.

Wiring can be re-routed or tucked away... I am pretty sure it wouldn't be an issue.

I am pretty much only considering it after the carpet is trashed and needs to be replaced...

The only wires I can see running directly under the carpet are stupid seat belt sensor wires, which can be easily eliminated. Instead of the seat belt clip completing the circuit when plugged in, I can cut those wires and solder them together, bam no wires and no light yelling at you that you seatbelt is not on...

The one wire which is more important and would have to remain is the passenger airbag sensor wire, which can be re-routed or I can convert to manual passenger airbag on-off switch...
