It's more of an experiment. I've had a bit of a clunk in the driveline for a while so I just made the mount a little firmer, and it seems to have helped. The clunk it almost entirely gone. I get a little clunk when going over bumps when in nuetral or with the clutch depressed. I think it's working very well. One of the fabricators on here make a completely solid mount.

The compressor is a Viair 450C. I'm not a 100% sure I'll leave it in that spot because the clearance is really tight. For the time being I won't run a permanent external line, but it's a possibilty in the future (it makes more sense to do it that way).

I had to use plastic spacers for them to properly fit in that location. I'll take a closer pic in a bit if that helps.

@Crom I forgot to mention that I did my front brake lines this weekend as well. I almost mangled one of the fittings. I stopped when the wrench started to slip and put vise-grips on and it loosened without much trouble from there. The others were no problem. You should go for it.

That's great! Did you install longer than stock? Braided stainless ones perhaps? Just curious.

I bought +3" from OCTaco group buy. They're probably longer than needed, but I guess it's ok. This reminds me that I need to order some of those Speed Bleeders. I had to bleed the brakes by myself with a 2X4 between the pedal and seat.

A bit of progress with the OBA.

The tank will be mounted in the spare tire location with the winch removed. New holes have been drilled.

    Fittings attached to the tank.
    20160419_210021.jpg

I put a small bend in the Viair mount to help with potential clearance issues, and installed larger rubber feet on the backside of the mount.

I hope to have the compressor and tank mounted up within the next few days, then run electrical.

It took the entire day to get the plumbing and trimming done. Note the cooling fan.

Thanks. This was the most difficult part of it all. I test fitted the plastic bin countless times. My desire to retain the bin nearly ended the entire project...so difficult when trying to fit the line through the back of the cab.

I changed the PCV last night. It still had rattle, but much less than the new one. Truck starts easier and runs smoother.

My OBA project is virtually complete. Special thanks go out to @Crom and the OBA thread for ideas, problem solving and inspiration.

I became obsessed with the idea of retaining the plastic cubby behind the rear seat (mounting the 450C would've been far easier without it).

I had to bend the Viair mounting plate for proper clearance.

I also became obsessed with using a tank. I decided on a Viair 1 gallon. The spare tire location was the perfect spot. It was very difficult to get the tank bolted there.

I need to make a rock shield for it.

    Now putting the pieces together.

^This is a fantastic result of the mounting location; space below for the hose and associated accessories.

    Initial performance test: 20 - 40psi 2:08 (255/85/16 tire).

I'll do more testing including temps.
