customcargrills.com, perforated mesh..$40 plus shipping is what i got...thought the price was whatever..decent..waiting for it to get here.

 

I got mine off ebay. I don't remember the price but it was very reasonable. It's aluminum. I painted it low gloss black. I also had enough for the bumper and the 2 side ports.

 

You can buy mesh off homer taco also. He also sells mesh for the triangles and I do believe the lower bumper if you want to do that too

 

great looking grill. i'm gonna try it this week. how did you fasten the gc to the back of the grill? what did you use?

I just started mine today. I have a 2011, so i ordered a grill from parts geek. I started cutting everything up today. I was wondering if I could take the original painted piece off of my 2011 grill, and just snap it into the 2010 grill I am working on, just so I don't have to worry about getting it color matched?

 

I don't know if they changed the way the grill is put together on 09+, but my 08 grill was all one piece, even though it looks like the middle is separate from the painted section.

 

No it's not... it has tabs to hold it in place that were "heat treated" to melt them and hold it in place. I have an 08 and 10 grill...

 

The grill I got from parts geek came in two pieces, they weren't snapped together

You should be able to without too much trouble. So long as when you remove the painted piece from your 2011 grill you remove as little of the plastic tabs as possible. That or be prepared to use epoxy I guess. This might help:

Haha, reminds me of a time my dad caught one in the bumper of our family van. My brother and I still swear he sped up when he saw the chance presenting itself...We spent the next gas stop picking it out (it didn't disintegrate like in your pic) with a stick
