After weeks of searching, I came across an ad for an 07 Prerunner short bed with a Bestop Supertop in LA. E-mailed the guy who posted the ad, and offered him $250 for the Bestop if he was willing to part it out off the truck...he agreed!

Picking it up this Saturday! Finally beginning my zombie response unit build :D

Pics to come after the install. PS Anybody know how to mount a CB with a Bestop? Currently using Desert Guy's bedrail mount, but I don't think they will work with the topper.

    Thanks!

Can anybody shed some light on the CB antenna mount question? Best place to mount?

I am getting a soft topper and I had that same question. I looked around and it looks like the door jamb mount from Firestik would work well on the rear tailgate side support. There was a picture but I don't feel like googling and looking for it.

Congrats on the purchase! I also have a Bestop (get those pics up soon!) and rather than fight with mounting the antenna from the bed rails, I run the K40 antenna with mag mount on my roof. Works like a champ and the antenna is just awesome. Very easy to pull off and store, too.

I bought a boat-load of w8n4mud's brackets that he was selling a while ago. They worked great for mounting the antenna with the regular mount, but tons of interference caused by the hoops in the Bestop, unless I folded it down.

Don't have any awesome, close-up pics of the mag mount, but . . .

Good to know! Thanks for the heads up...unfortunately, I have the 5' Firestik antenna, and I'm already hitting all kinds of stuff with it being 4' above the cab. I'll either have to buy a short one, or live with the constant mounting and removing of the antenna.

I'm looking into a rear bumper mount right now.

I've had much higher offers on mine but didn't want to take it apart and ship. Great price OP. Enjoy it. I've camped out a lot in mine :)

Great suggestions...I'm trying to stay away from cutting into the bumper, so I may go with the door jamb mount. May even custom fab something to work with the Bestop. Keep the ideas coming :)
