the seats in my 2015 are not very comfortable on a long trip. Anything short of grin and bare it can I do?

It would help if you can identify the source of the discomfort. The angle of the seat is an issue for many. It was for me. Seat jackers can fix that. Seat heaters help on long drives in cold weather. I've had good luck with these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002U6IL9O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8

Ultimately, I ditched mine for Corbeau seats, with heaters and adjustable lumbar inserts. Much better in every way, but I will say this. Subtle mismatches between you and the seat can become excruciating after many hours. I always end up fiddling with height, angle, and other factors to find the sweet spot.

I think it’s the lack of padding in the seat itself. My wife has a Honda Odessa, it’s seats are very comfortable. Would the seats out of a 2nd gen 4Runner work in a Tacoma? Barring that I think having the upholstery shop add some padding would probably help a lot. I just drove from Ohio to south Florida, I need a little more comfort!!!!
