i just bought a snugtop supersport shell and yakima racks for my truck.

i went with this model primarily for the clean look. i had the racks installed at the snugtop factory as part of my original order so the installation (leaks etc...) is covered by the snugtop warranty.

i went with the tractop so that i can adjust the rack position if needed...although in the 25 years that i have been surfing i have never had to move the racks...who knows?

My '98 tacoma had a bedrug and i really liked it but the 2 bedrug dealers that i spoke with said that they would not custom install the rug so that i could access the cubbie holes, gear boxes and power outlet.... so i passed on the rug. i will likely get some outdoor carpet, cut it myself and throw it back there for comfort as well as add a little cush for my surfboards.

Sounds like a cool setup. I don't think we have any other surfers on this site. You should post some pictures so we can see what it looks like.

    I surf!

I basically have the same set up. I have a bedrug and have loved it. BUT, recently some milk spilled back there and it freaking reeks. I have doused(sp) it in 409 twice, taken it to a car wash and sprayed it with soap spray and rinse, took it back a couple of days later and and scrubed it with a foam brush then rinsed, now I have tried a carpet cleaner!!!!!

Has anyone seen that Seinfeld episode with the bad BO. I am fighting a beast of that magnitude. Help!!!!!!

I installed a A.R.E. Z series on my 07 tacoma and ordered a Bedrug with it. this does have the holes cut out for the cubbie holes and power outlets.

Hey RACERX, I'm on the market to get a top for my truck where a rack is mandatory for my hobbies (fishing / Hunting), around how much did your setup cost you? if there is no problem answering it. This will able me to play a bit with the snug top, leer or A.R.E. dealers. Did you considered any other make before you finally get the Snug Top?

    Regards.

Wow!..........Very nice. If you don't mind me asking, how much does snugtop charge for that shell?..I have seen one similar only that where your windows located on the side of the shell are actual storagebins.

This is a LEER Cap, I was undecided on taking an A.R.E., Snugtop or as in this case the LEER Brand, I finally decided for this, because was the only one Brand where more than one provider were available near to where I live (150 miles from them). So I drove from Laredo to San Antonio, TX to get it.
