Just picked up this Rebel with pet screens and folding front slider.

A little disappointed with the install, there are scuffs here and there and I think Snugtop hasn't nailed th blazing blue pearl color yet. It matches at some angles, but most as seen here, make the shell look a little darker. I'm taking it back to deal with the scuffs and scratches and I'll see what they say about the color. It's as if there's not enough pearl in the paint.

That's a great looking setup you have, but you're right...The top does look a little off compared to the truck color. That's strange.

Here's another one in direct sunlight. I think it looks perfect here. It just the angle. Different angle, different color.

Dittto I really like the looks of the Outback. The way the door opens and solves the lock problem on the Bed. But if their Customer Service is shit and they won't stand behind their product. I understand it doesn't come with a dog (it okay, I have one already, and she wouldn't like a brother) and that it's a good product but, come on.

I've come to the decision that I'm going to spend the money and buy the Outback. I found a dealer local to me who seems very knowledgable and trustworthy. He's been a dealer for them for 30+ year. He is very willing to stand behind the product (and says his relationship with SnugTop is such that he has never had an issue making them stand behind their product). That's as much as I can ask for. I'll probably pull the trigger in less than a month and report back once I receive the shell.

I smashed the slider window on my fold down slider front glass option. I am located out east in NY and have not a single Snugtop dealer with in hundreds of miles. I called a local company that sells ARE and Leer as I figured glass is glass. The guy says he has never heard of Snugtop and only sells parts for what he sells noting else.... Looking for some options, only reply I received from a Snugtop dealer out in the midwest was that they offered to sell me a full folding sliding unit + shipping + install yikes by far the most expensive glass I have broken to date and I have busted many a glass in my day.

That sucks. No doubt their lack of dealer network in the eastern United States would be a huge inconvenience if you are in the eastern United States. My best guess would be to call a dealer, buy the part, uber it to the nearest greyhound station, and put it on a bus to you...or something like that.

Good luck with your problem. Breaking glass sucks!

I can not be the first person this happens to, and there must be a way to replace just this one glass panel I must imagine... somewhat surprised I could not find previous threads over this, though I removed the cap currently and have not searched too hard.

Unfortunately the only info i can give is I made my own window out of lexan. Also they are some websites that you can contact to have a window shipped. Just Google snugtop parts and a few websites will pull up.

I know I have posted this multiple times so I waited for others to respond since its not for everyone but you could just make your own insert out of metal, fiberglass, plexi, etc this is what I did:

This is wild and very cool, if I smashed the side glass I would totally look into taking this route. however the glass I broke is in the front of the cap and i really like the fold down and slider option for extra access into the cab. as well as visibility.

Took 'em off today....looks much cleaner. Those 2016 decals are placed much higher than previous years.

i would like to replace the key lock on my snugtop xv with the pro-lock twist handle. Does anyone know who makes that lock for snugtop? Or, any snugtop dealers that carry that part online?

here is just two quick pages i found after a quick search, i think the pop n lock seems to be a popular choice here on TW.

Thanks for these. I searched for pro lock but didn't come up with those threads. I'm really just interested in replacing my current lock with the pro lock handle. I don't think I need to go power. I was hoping someone knew who made the handle, so maybe I could find it cheaper than from a snugtop dealer.
