Hey guys, I've endured my all-pro sliders knocking on my pinch weld everytime i hit a bump for the last 6 months and am finally tired of it. It makes my truck sound like a POS when i hit bumps. I've stuffed sliced 3/8"s braided fuel in between the pinch weld and slider bar which reduced the noise but is not the fix. Any suggestions? I know people have cut the pinch weld for clearance but i'm looking for other options that don't require pulling my sliders back off if possible. Thanks!

I’ve got the same sliders and don’t have have that issue. But it is mentioned in the instructions that clearance issues could be a possibility, with the prescribed solution being to notch the pinch weld. But your sliders should not move when you hit a bump. Did you drill out the lower frame mounts and use all your mounting hardware? What is your static clearance between the pinch weld and the slider support?

It's between 1/16 & 1/8 of clearance. It wasn't very bad until i had to use my farmjack a few times to lift the truck using the sliders.

Can you and 3 of your friends stand on it and try to bend it back?

I’d try retorquing all the fasteners.

You could use a hammer and punch and bend the pinch seam in a little above every point where it is hitting. I would dab a little paint on each spot to keep it from rusting if/where you crack the paint.

Very common for AllPro sliders to hit the pinch weld. If you don't want to modify the pinch weld, probably the only other thing you could do is replace the cab mount bushings for a slightly higher clearance.

Chisel and mini sledge or don't be lazy, do it right and cut it since it's only a few bolts I believe or sell them and get weld on ones.
