Normally id be game. I go there quite often, however I think my truck needs some maintenance before it sees any more dirt. I broke leaf #3 on my passenger side a few weeks ago.. and ive been having a rough idle. I might be game to cruise up there this weekend though. Been wanting to shoot a timelapse over at Deep Creek.

I usually start at silverwood dam and take 2n16, i think, all the way over to 3n34 and either to devils hole or deep creek.

Its mostly Green and Blue Trails, theres one sections i would consider to be close to a Black diamond, but youre going down hill so I can make it through that direction with my open diff.

If you're in O-slime, ocotillo or 29 palms area is your closest and best bet. Check out Cleghorn trail if your willing to make the drive, its worth it if your just itchin to get away. You could always go adventure into big bear too, some decent 2wd friendly stuff up there, watch out for the jeeps. Main divide truck up north off Ortega hwy, probably would take you at least an hour just to get to the trailhead, depending on traffic, and even then its just a fire road. Not a whole lot of "trail" options for 2wd (nothing against it)
    :crapstorm:

Side note: If your new to the desert, just be cautious about hazards out there, you might already know this though.

Welcome to TW! Lots of trail runs are organized that are 2WD friendly. Just keep watch on the SoCal section and they'll pop up on a regular basis. Some threads are re-used each year, some create new ones, some are planned far in advance, and some are short fused or impromptu. If the organizer doesn't state that it's 2WD friendly, just ask - nobody will take offense.

You've already found the SoCal section, but here's a link just in case...

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/southern-california.43/

Hope to see you out there!
