    The list is long, but distinguished.
    Search alpine ktp amp, it's a little amp that can be buried behind the radio and provide 2-3x the power output and can take the extra current draw.

    I too did the Subaru tweeter upgrade. It was satisfying for a little bit, then I realized how terrible the rest of the door speakers were. In the end, it's about how much money you are willing to spend for better sound. I ended up replacing all the speakers, and I am very glad that I did. It sounds amazing now.

    I’m interested in this setup, I’ve had good experience with infinity reference in the past. Where did you mount your crossovers for the components?

    You should do a write-up! I love Hertz man. I had an extended cab Silverado that ripped the rear seats out of, put 3 Hertz mille 15's in it. Hertz door speakers all around with kick panel 6.5's Hertz 4 channel and audison sub amp. I hit 159db with that setup haha.

    No Polk db series fans in here? I love them. Ive ran Kenwood, pioneer, infinity kappa and the Polks have by far sounded the best. And good priced.

    We all have different ears and different budgets. If you want to buy once/ cry once, the best thread on Tacomaworld is right here. You'll spend $1000 to $2000 to do it right, but you won't ever need to upgrade again.

    Probably because the Focals are like $269 for coaxial 6x9's only. Can buy both front components and rear coaxial infinity's for less than that. May be his reason, is exactly the reason I am going to go the infinity route instead of Focal.

    I too like your set up here, I have had a lot of infinity setups on factory radios and they always sound good to me. I also am curious about how you wired the crossover and where you mounted it, any pics if you have them of the crossover would be cool.

    I'm not an audiophile, but I do like my cars to sound good inside. I did the Subaru/Kicker tweeters in the dash and the quality in sound improvement, ease of install (plug-n-play) made the $90 price worth it. Probably one of the cheapest upgrades I've made. May do the front doors down the road.

    @Falconsfan @myamada1230 Sure no problem.
    On the driver side, I originally had it mounted behind the kick panel on the flat white piece with all these electrical harnesses with some double-sided foam tape. Doing that gave me some significant interference noise, lots of whining from the tweeter. So I moved it up and mounted the crossover up under the dash on this black electrical box(?? IDK what it is, but its flat and out of the way. Says Denso on the side).

    As for the passenger side, its a lot less "nice". I just have it behind the kick panel between the carpet and body of the car. It's wedged down in there pretty well and doesn't move at all so :shrug:

    The hardest part of this whole thing was wiring at the tweeter/dash point. Not much room/wire to work with at all. But all I really did was use the ********* video for tweeter install to figure out which wires in the factory harness are input and output. They sell a harness for like $25 that can plug into the factory harness and run wires down behind the dash for a crossover, but I'm impatient and didn't wanna spend the $$ for something I could manage on my own. I just took some speaker wire and wired the IN +/- down to the input on the crossover, the OUT +/- to the woofer output on the crossover, and just wired the tweeter on its own from the crossover. Because space and wire is so limited at the dash, I had to use twist-on wire connections to tie everything together. Not a solder, but the best I could manage and it has worked flawlessly thus far.

    I used the taco tunes 100w amp and kicker 10 sub. I have the suby kicker tweets and fosgate door speakers with no amp. I am very happy with the sound.

    I’ve always run JL subs and amps, they’re quality and last. I haven’t run their door speakers and don’t know much about them, but have heard good things.

    I wanted to run the JL components in the doors however Crutchfield had a killer sale on the polks when I bought them.
