Ahhh man that would be WILD!

I haven’t priced it out exactly but I’m sure referring the front and rear end would be a pretty chunk of change so that’s more than likely off the books for a while...

When you order the gauges on their site, you can upload your own graphics to add to the gauge. I used a logo from google, but if you call and ask speedhut, they know all about the TRD logos and can easily add them for you.

    Hello,
I just received my ez down shock from Amazon & I plan to install it this week. I was looking at your pics. The 2 tie wraps are there to keep the cable from jamming between the shock & the tailgate? Also, with the shock installed do you have to pull hard on the Tailgate for it to open or just open the latch & it starts to come down?
    Thank you

Bad ass! I've gotta go to the mountain again! The most water I drove through was in Hurricane Creek Trail this past March & a bit on Old Hwy 105 NC.

That’s correct, the zip ties do exactly that. They get pinched as you mentioned and you have to guide the cable with your fingers if you don’t zip tie it.

I just pull as I regularly would on the latch and then let go and it falls nice and slowly, no excessive extra force required.

Thanks man! I’ve got so many more adventure reports to update on here, just haven’t gotten the time. I get out almost every other weekend, I love getting out in nature whether it’s wheeling, or just relaxing and camping.

My wife goes with me on our offroading trips and she usually does the videography. I've posted up all of our rides in the Southeast section of the forum. I need to start me a build thread too, but my truck isn't really much over stock! lol When I do my suspension, I may start a build thread of my own!

Thats awesome! Still on the hunt for my perfect videographer/co-pilot:thumbsup: Start one anyways, a big reason i started mine was to just keep track of repairs/maintenance. I have an excel sheet i track everything with, however I figured a backup on here wouldn't hurt.

Some of the most recent notable mods that i havent posted about yet include some lighting additions, leather seats with heat seaters, and most recently (last night) a 100% plug and play remote start module with a smart phone adapter that essentially lets me start/stop, lock/unlock, monitor battery voltage, and has GPS tracking.

You better believe it! Next is a full audio upgrade with a head unit that supports wireless Apple Carplay.

    Quick review!!

So, I was able to install my remote start kit from 12voltsolutions last night! So far so good, installation instructions could have been a little more thorough, but it was still pretty much a breeze. I went with this kit in particular because they are one if not the only company to offer a 100% plug and play remote start kit for these trucks. I also bought the smart phone module which gives me real time GPS tracking, combined with the ability to start/stop, and lock/unlock my truck from anywhere I have cell service. After the 15% discount they currently have, I got the kit + smart phone module shipped to me for $475 (normally $550 for everything). I highly recommend checking them out if this is something you've thought about!!

My only complaints so far are:

    1) Once the vehicle is remote started, it renders the OEM key fob useless, and you must use the provided fob or smart phone app to unlock the truck. OEM key fob still works if the vehicle has NOT already been remote started.

    2) When unlocking/locking the vehicle with the provided fob, you don't get the audible 'beep' as you would from the OEM key fob.

    3) When unlocking the vehicle, via the smart phone app, only the drivers side door unlocks, there is no way to unlock all doors remotely (that i know of). With the provided fob, you can unlock all the doors if you perform the unlock sequence (press the button on the fob twice) two times, waiting for confirmation from the 2 way remote that the first unlock was processed before performing the second unlock sequence.

    4) The real time GPS tracking doesn't display coordinates, just normal map views with street names(left out for obvious reasons in the image below). Not a huge issue, but coordinates would take out some guess work.
