Oops... Started a thread on this same thing.

I also have not found a way to adjust the aux volume on the stock head unit. Has anyone had any luck with that? The sound settings are very basic on this thing

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm having same problem with my Blackberry. Got volume all the way up, but still just like my ipod (low volume). I switched to the Blackberry thinking that might help....no change--still low.

I read the manual, and messed with the radio several times. There is NO way to adjust the volume on the 3.5 aux jack.... all you can do is turn up the speed sensitive volume and crank up the iPod.

I gave the $50 ebay iPod cable a try....

It plugged right into the radio, instantly recognized the ipod and started playing. Audio level was very comparable to the radio/cd player. Good bit better than the 3.5mm audio jack.

The issues that came were these.... Once you turned the key off and back on the radio would not recognize the ipod again until you pulled the radio out, unplugged the ipod cable and plugged it back in. Then it would work until you turned the key off and back on again.

It also kept the clock dimly illuminated even when the key was off. It also kept the power on to the 12 power outlets non stop. So I had to make sure I pushed the power button on my xm to turn it off when getting out of the truck.

JUNK.... sending this garbage back today....
