Just curious... why don't you pull out the Aux connector blank and connect directly to the back of that and bypass the stupid harness?

hey sry i didnt take any pics but ill tell u how i did it with pic from online. firts thing was to take the stock aux plug and housing out of the dash. then i took the housing apart and took the plug unit out. next we got a universal stereo plug unit like in the first attached pic. we took an everyday stereo cable like in the second pic and cut one end open and found out witch wire was witch and soldered it to the new plug. we picked this plug because it had a set nut on the plug end that fit in the stock aux housing perfectly. so with it all soldered and put in the stock housing we pluged it into the back of the aftermarket head unit. now i can enjoy a fully custom stock looking aux plug. if i get adventurous ill take it apart and take some pics.
