Nice Rig! How are you liking the Falcon suspension? I have the same setup on my truck I love the rears with my FWC but the fronts are kinda firm I’m thinking of maybe just upgrading my fronts to fox or something.

Depends on the trip. 5 gal is usually fine, but I've had to use every drop of this load before on an extended dirt trip of UT/NV:

Yes, I agree. The only time I ever get bothered with them is on highway climbs, where it gets into a kind of occultation or bob on the front end. I don’t know enough to know why, but I suspected also that they were too firm. Mine are set at the highest spring rate. I’d like to try the medium setting, and see if that helps.

I had the two 10 liter cans. That’s just over 5 gallons and I just limped into the gas station! I know it’s bad practice, but I’ve almost run my tank dry three times now. I’ve learned that there is another gallon left when the dash says you are totally empty!

Mine are set at the middle setting and I’ve added a bumper and winch about 160lbs and still firm. I notice it on the highway mostly also going over pot holes and stuff

I wonder if you could just change the spring? Might be worth getting in touch with Falcon

Yeah maybe I’m not sure if it’s the spring rates or the valving that’s making them so firm

Brother, I grew up on the Morey Firth. Not my ancestor’s land, but the natives where very friendly.:)

Today we were supposed to be four days into a six week road trip. Unfortunately, this time last week we learned our 18 year old cat has pancreatic cancer. So we canceled our plans to hang with the kitty.:(

Sorry I missed your questions. See above for answers on the gas. As for the outlet. I bought an outlet from a Four Runner and used the info from here.

The truck and camper are performing great in the snow.

Its 99 here Stu! Looks like the West is having a good snow year. Have you ever tried airing down in deep snow? Seems like it should work like it does in deep sand

Yes, I have. The only time I got a wee bit stuck was when the snow was up to the axles.

    Loving following your travels Andy

Using foil insulation around the vinyl and in the windows for our weekly trip up to Stevens Pass. It’s made a huge difference in comfort and only takes a few minutes to install.

It’s been a busy couple weeks with the truck nosed into the garage, with a long list of things that needed doing. I pulled the front wheels off to replace the brake pads with TRP Pro pads. It was then that I noticed that my driver side shock had blown a seal. So the shocks are now back at Teraflex for a rebuild.

    IMG_3598.jpg

In the mean time I’ve totally cleaned up the front undercarriage and touched up a couple of rust spots. Over all the chassis is in great shape. Greased up all the ball joints and UCA pivots.

Pulled the needle bearings and installed the ECGS bushing.

    All oils changed.

Still more to do. I’m in my happy place.

I finally got around to the clutch accumulator delete. I used the Dremel to carve a channel though the accumulator. Pretty straightforward, but I was surprised by the amount of corrosion infiltration into the system. I did the best I could to clean it up with an old dental pick.

Flushed the brake and clutch system with Bosch ES16-32N fluid. The truck is still waiting on the front shocks that are being serviced at Teraflex.

Awesome build! How are you liking your bumper? In another thread someone pointed out the fog lights noticeably vibrate, since there's less of the plastic bumper secured after making the cuts.
