    See you work EMT.

I inset a tool-box into an Extang Solid-fold for quick access to emergency gear.

If you're looking for a soft cover go with a Lund Tri-Fold. Had one on my long bed, will definitely be buying the same one for my short bed. (unless I stumble across a crazy good deal on a cap that's already painted spruce mica.

I found that sticking a small first aid kit, flashlight, reflector vest will fit in the back pocket of the drivers seat. Also a 5 lb fire extinguisher will fit in the cup holder of the back passenger door, if you have an Access Cab. I can't remember how big the cup holders were in the doors of the Double Cab.

What do you want the cover to do? Keep the bed dry or secure valuables? I went with the Leer, everything stays dry and it's as secure as any car trunk. I also thought looks were equally important. Paid over a grand for it but for my use, worth it.
    BTW, Congats on the truck.

I've had a Truxedo Lo-Pro QT on my 08' since March of 08' and love it! I did have one problem. The rubber seal from the cover to the tailgate started to come apart from rolling and unrolling over and over. Contacted the manufacturer to order the part as I thought it was natural wear and tear. They replaced it and shipped it for free! Great cover, excellent company and guarantee.

I'm a volly firefighter. I'm paid EMS tho. That's a good idea tho. I like the idea. Idk if I like the flip cover. I'm particular to the roll ups.

Thank you! It was tough to finally get it. I bought the truck last Monday but my ex, whose name I stupidly put on the car I had and was trading in, was screwing me royally. I super excited.

By the way where did you go to RN? Took mine at Luzerne county community. Finished in 2010.

Truxedo is great. Rolls up and really low profile.

Jumping in this thread before creating my own.

2014 DCSB, want the most secure*, water proof cover available.

*I already have tailgate lock, and I realize nothing will be totally secure, but I would rather thieves move on to the next truck, rather than be able to easily force my cover open.
