Well, they are no longer sell TRD, it would have to be a magnuson or URD supercharger. If you go turbo, it will be a custom job as no one makes a turbo kit.

Welcome to TW! Unless you are going to custom build one yourself, the only option is the Magnuson (formerly TRD) supercharger.
    http://urdusa.com/store/Forced-Indu...05-2015-Tacoma-V6-NO-TUNING/product_info.html

The supercharger above is available with and without an aftermarket "bullydog" tune, I'd suggest getting it without (as linked above) and going to the dealer to get the OEM Toyota supercharger reflash tune. Costs about $100. You can swap out the factory supercharger pulley for a smaller 2.85 pulley (or even smaller) for additional power over what the supercharger provides stock. I highly recommend the 2.85 pulley.

URD sells another supercharger for the 4.0, but it is not yet compatible for 09+ trucks. There are no off the shelf turbo options I am aware of.

Magnuson bought the rites to the TRD superchargers because Toyota no longer makes them. They are pretty pricey, but I hear they have a good warranty on them.

The only supercharger option is Magnuson (TRD). URD is not available for the 2010, and no one else makes one. Unless you fabricate your own.

As mentioned, this is the spot for all things supercharger:

Bullydog tuner or OEM supercharge reflash as mentioned earlier. That is all the tuning options.

Nobody cares, look at your poll. If you don't know a thing about turbos you have no business installing one...

How much do you know about the two options?

Turbo's are forced air fans driven by the exhaust gasses leaving the engine. Turbo's use somewhat waste energy from the engine to spin the fan and increase air pressure to your air intake. Turbo's require that you reroute exhaust gasses past the exhaust side of a turbo, and reroute intake air past the intake side of the turbo. Since the guys here say there is no aftermarket version, unless you have the ability, or are willing to pay some one, to weld exhaust piping past a turbo and build an air intake manifold to go past the turbo as well then its not worth even looking into. Turbo's are good IMO because they are less complicated once installed with what i would think is a lower chance of failure and less need for future maintenance, also possibly lower cost of materials. Down side of turbo's is they have a lag. This means you step on the gas and 2 seconds later you will feel the boost from the turbo. The exhaust gasses have to start building up before they start spinning the turbo thereby increasing air intake pressure to your engine and more air in the engine=more gasoline=more power.

The Supercharger is a well tested option that plenty of people are running. It is built to bolt on so there is no monkeying around with fabrication of exhaust and intake piping.. the superchrger again boosts air pressure to your intake air. more air in the engine = more gasoline = more power. the supercharger is belt driven, so the belt on the engine needs to drive a mechanical air pump. some people say this steals some HP because it requires engine power to drive the belt to drive the air pump to increase the air pressure. Because the supercharger is direct linked to the engine it will increase air pressure as soon as you step on the gas unlike the turbo. Down sides of this option> costly, not sure how Toyota warranties engines after you put one on, more moving parts to go wrong, possibly need to switch to premium after you put one on?

does that answer your question about the options?
