I want to level my 2nd gen DC out. I have been looking at the Rough Country 2 inch loaded strut for the front. Anybody have any experience with these?

Why do you want to level it? Afterward when you haul anything you'll be squatting the wrong way

I found a 2" spacer from an ebay seller, and it spot on lifted front 2". Nothing done to rear. Truck was still an 1/8 to 1/4" low in the back....and you can tell it.

Relocated spare to inside bed toward front fixed that, but just putting 30lbs or so of cargo at rear squats it down.

Putting AALs in the back is a mixed bag IMO on what what you get in lift, but even an inch would upset the level look. Plus they stiffen the ride from my experience.

Have considered installing air bags to adjust as needed, but no more than I haul, hard to justify as my truck is mostly a commuter.

The easiest lift is putting 235-75-15 on the stock steelies. This is the size tire Toyota should have went with on the 5-luggers. Looks great, and improves ride & handling tremendously.

Just get some 3rd gen TRD Off Road factory take-offs. Much better ride, raises the front about 1" and is all new parts. 1" still gives you about 1/2"-3/4" rake which isn't that noticeable and doesn't look like it's sagging with weight in the back like a completely level truck does. Plus you get all new (depending on the donor truck) parts for $200-$250 usually, sometimes with leaf springs!
