Figured I'd ask here, I'm swapping to a 700# icon coil right now, how the hell do you get the original coil off? Do you just loosen this nut?:

I'm just afraid it's a charge port and I have to refill it or something once I take it off lol

I am only posting this because I think you are serious:

    FUCK NO DON'T TOUCH THAT!!!!

To swap springs you must compress the spring that's on there until you can slip the lower spring mount up and off the shaft...Look at the other end of that coilover...

Compress the spring, and the lower cup slides off. That is why the cup is notched.

Edit: lol @ Loco. Yea don't touch that fitting.

I typed as quickly as I could... There is 200PSI nitrogen on the other side of that port FYI....Do not open. If you do it needs to go to someone with the right equipment to refill it.

Also that C/O has a shit ton of preload and you may have issues getting it compressed enough to let the lower collar off.

You may need to reinstall it on the truck hand tight to allow you to back off a good bit of that preload so you can swap spirngs...Also 700# springs won't require that much for sure!

How much will I need to trim for 285's? Possibly 285/75r17. Will these work with 3" lift?
