2005 Toyota Tacoma pre-runner

mid travel

I want to build a bed cage for my Tacoma that will eventually tie into a roll cage. I was looking at the camburg bed cage but I feel that I could build something better for cheaper. The only thing I'm worried about is the shock binding if I build my own and don't mount the shocks right. Does anyone have any dimensions that could help me out or any ideas?
