Not saying your wrong, it’s just in the instructions he clearly has “p5 can bus” selected. And that’s not a option on this newest pcm flash version.

Just want to make sure I flash the right thing the first time haha

P5-Can, although the other would work as well from what an earlier post from Mat said.

Other as in "CAN-bus"? So start with trying P5-Can, if that doesn't work do CAN-bus? And regardless don't worry about Gearbox P5-Can?

@ksj is correct, sorry. I’m sick and not thinking straight

It shouldn’t hurt anything I did both and one failed, the other didnt

In my limited test of 5miles I saw a slight increase in efficiency between Stock & 87 Base. I’ll gladly report back once I run a full tank through the Base tune.

Flashed from 91 performance to 91 base, absolutely loving 91 base right now. Smooth, predictable throttle tip in, very linear power, gas pedal pressure equate engine RPM like it should. 91 base seem to run better than the previous 1.05 release.

91 performance, engine seem to "roar" louder, 91 base, engine is quieter. This is especially noticable with TRD exhaust. Performance tune is like a young eager pony, anxious to jump out of the gate. Base tune feels more refined, predictable, like a seasoned Clydesdale :D

This is from a stock 2017 AT Pro with 265/75/16 tires.

Is the only difference between 87 base and 87 performance at high rpm (6800?)? Thought I read @OVTune post that somewhere.

That was the impression I got as well, but no... Tip-in is definitely more aggressive on performance/gear-lock compared to base.

I'm still on original release 1.05. Is tip in on base improved?

yeah the performance version definitely has more kick off the line with the same amount of pressure on the pedal, making it very easy to chirp the tires

I only ran the original 1.05 for a few days before I went back to 1.04. Based on what I remember, the tip-in of Original was a little more aggressive than Base is. But I could be remembering wrong...

Revised base 87 is pretty nice. I got whooping 45 miles city driving with some hills and short freeway drive and can tell that those small things were taken care. 1-2 shift seems got shorten, no more slippage on 4th and 5th with locked TC under certain load.
I can drive around 1000 rpm and speed up easily - tc unlocking is more responsive now.
    So far very satisfied.

Does the gear locking work with cruise control?

    Precisely my question as well.

And yes, if this is true, the new Toyota Flash Manager is terrific!
