Got myself TUNED the FVCK UP!!! (87 for now).

The "hiccup" at 1800-2000 on my manual transmission truck is GONE. I HATED that hiccup. I would have to drive so specifically to avoid that "lug" of a pull, stop and pull. it is GAWN.

$700 was a grip, but I no longer hate the 3rd gen! The tune is awesome.

It wouldn't let me download a manual transmission "performance" tune, only the base ones. Is that customary?

Manual trans performance tune is called FOB.

 

Patiently waiting myself for the software license... the suspense is the worst, like a kid on Christmas Eve.

how big a difference in power? I already notice the throttle response is crazy instantaneous. it's making driving stick much different with the pedal coordination.

 

i went from 1.04 to 1.05 FOB and also switched to 91 octane at same time so it was a significant difference to me. For me most noticeable change was a more linear throttle response.

Give it some time to feel out this tune (a couple tanks), then try the next one for a couple tanks. Try the other octanes for a couple tanks, and then come back to the tune that you like best.

 

Dumb question - every time I upload a new tune am I supposed to let the truck idle for a few mins or is that only when you clear the AT and LV?

I’m gonna give the performance tune a week or so, but I’m down 2mpg so far

 

It been my experience that any reflash, factory or OV, takes 500-1000 miles to start settling in after learning your driving style/habits.

The tune shines its best (noticeably) after 600 miles

 

Cool. I’m about 250mi in. Will give it another week or so.

 

What’s weird is the throttle response improves largely at those higher miles...at least for me it does

 

I have a probably dumb question.I currently am running 93 Performance. Where do I go to get 87 Performance tune ? Or any other tune for that matter
