Weird even after the 19800 2.0 flash my truck still does the same damn thing. If I go WOT through the gears, its ether 3rd or 4th, cant tell..... it revs to redline, stalls and suddenly acts like I'm not pressing the peddle at all, the tach drops to about 4k and suddenly it accelerates again and shifts like nothing happened. Consistently does this every time, every version of the tune I've used since 1.05. Whether I do it from a dig, or a kick down on the highway it will shift fine for a gear or two, then fuck up, then shift fine again. Its outright dangerous on the highway or trying to pass. Cant be relied on at all, have no idea what's wrong. I've posted this before explaining the issue better I just dont care to repeat it. It ONLY does this at WOT. If I drive "normally" it will shift perfectly every time without fail. It will even do this issue if I have it in "manual" mode and shift myself, I will let it get up in the rpm range, press forward and it will shift..... until it comes to the bullshit gear, and I will press fwd and nothing will happen just keeps climbing in RPM, bouces off redline, stalls dangerously, then finally decides to shift.

Good call, unfortunately I'll have to update from 04A60 to 04A61 before I can go to 2.0. I'll check out 1.05.1 until then, have to head to the dealer for my 25k service in the next few weeks anyway, I'll have them update to 04A61 when I go.

Yeah I talked to him via email a while back and was told to try a different tune. This is the 3rd different update I've tried.

Did you let him know that it is still happening with other tunes you've tried? Maybe log it and send him the logs.

Make sure you print a copy of the tsb, and tell them you experience the same symptoms. The stumble at elevation is a good one, because some dealerships aren't at elevation, so they can't give you too much push back. It's also pretty easy to install the free version of techstream and do the update yourself.

You're not alone. My 2019 TRDOR (04B30) has exhibited the exact same behavior with WOT on more than one occasion. I don't often drive with WOT, so it hasn't been a total showstopper for me, but it's certainly a little scary when it happens unintentionally.

Maybe I'll try to log the experience for Mat... if I can figure out the logging process.

Just realized we're all running the tune on 2019 trucks. Probably not a coincidence.

I have the little orange square thing that plugs into the obd2 port and then into my laptop, not 100% sure how to log with that flasher.

I'm familiar with logging using a cobb access port, so hopefully it's similar. Just initiate, do a bunch of 36 to 60 pulls and then stop it? I'm sure it's not hard, but just coving bases. The instructions on how to flash dont say how to log.

Rafael is working on a step by step logging guide for our logger.

The shift at WOT issue is only present on 2019s on some trucks, with the same shift tables that work fine on others.
It *could* be from other modifications but I think some trucks just require to shift sooner before the limit.

Cool. So can I have a super special secret squirrel version of 2.0? I dont have any mods unless you count the TRD intake and exhaust. PM me and I will give email if need be. I'm currently running the 19800 91oct performance gearlock 2.0 tune. I use 93 with it too btw.

Mine did this a few times. Ended up being a bad high pressure fuel pump. T-SB-0016-18

edit: mine had nothing to do with the shift, but rather fuel starvation at WOT and max rpm.

My truck was manufactured in April 2019. TSB says for years 16-17 Tacoma per the attachment here.

I'm willing to test a custom version of 2.0 beta for 04B30 if/when you try to fix this issue. I can probably do some logging for you, as well.

I'd really appreciate a fix, so please just let me know.
