You should just reply with a link to this thread. That way that can't say they were ignored.

There will be a redesign next year. OV is really looking forward to it, so I would suggest you consider waiting.

True, but in "Tacoma Tune World Years" that was forever ago (but you don't have to).
And like I said "it doesn't not hurt to idle after a flash (Engine Warmed or Cold Start)."

Mat very recently (in 2020) said you don't have to.....

I think we are all on the same page with what we have read and are assuming.
But, until I get a definitive and precise answer from THE ONE I am staying at 99%.

If the premium and or base version only adjust to a certain octane, then using an octane outside of what the tune is for will have less than stellar performance. Probably not noticeable when you drive it. Why would you run performance and then put 87 in your truck.

    The first link did.

Note** you can technically run 87 or even lower on the premium file. However, you will get continual diminished performance.

I assume you're going to tune it. You're gonna have to get my money twice because the Tacoma isn't cutting it for my needs.

;) tundra ain't getting no manual as far as I know. They can't even put a manual in any of their performance cars.

They can't even put a manual in a Supra.

    Toyota is lost

Regarding the reg and prem files.

Yes there is a difference. The premium files have further "allowance" on how far they can advance ignition.

If you run premium fuel on the reg tune, you won't get the max possible.
