Agreed. My point was that it is never going below 14.5 volts and I saw an increase to 14.7 when I ran it hot and hard for the day.

Just wondered if I should lower the output as temps rise, or just lower the output all together

Most motorcycles have AGM batteries in some crappy locations with respect to heat. I know that mine charged around 14.2v with a good MOSFET R/R. So, no real concerns about those voltages.

As long as the battery manufacturer's charging spec is not exceeded for any duration, then life should be good.

Would you mind PMing me your file so I can see what changes you made? How did you raise fuel cut offs?

    Ah!

While our setup is different, my guess there is that there would have been problems noted from the 2nd Gen'ers who boosted their output the easy way?

I'm not worrying about it. The link that user posted was referencing the heat being a factor during the float charge, not the bulk or absorption charge. From what I understood was that was in reference to charging it on a charger, not off the alternator, where we will rarely get past the absorption charge.

Ok, that makes sense. Thank you. Electric/Electricity is not my specialty. I was shocked as a child and never forgot it. The basics is about it...

Anyone know if the ovtune obd2 connector (orange) and cable are worth anything? I traded in my truck so mine is no longer needed. Thanks
