Tell them your transmission is erratic when shifting

Thanks. And actually, that is the truth. The AT shifting is sooo frustrating with this truck; that and particularly the throttle delay are the two main things I'm hoping the tune will improve.

Hey Michelle @catware , have a read of the 2nd attachment in this thread (post#1):

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/t-sb-0077-16-rev-1.457782/

It basically shows what they are looking for symptom-wise..

Guys, I assume this TSB will get her truck up to 4B02.. right?

Yep, same thing they told me. I just told them the tranny was
acting funny, not shifting like it should and just "not quite right" and it was done.

I emailed the PDF of that TSB to my service advisor and they scheduled an appt and updated it. I also printed it and took it with me to hand to him. I suggest doing the same. Many have gone and had this TSB applied so hopefully they dont give you any shit

Yes!! Thanks so much. I legitimately have the problems in the TSB -- for example the cruise control not upshifting when it reaches speed. I printed the .pdf and will bring it with me to my appt next week. One step closer to getting the tune applied -- I'm trying to be patient! :) Thanks Frank!!!

I'd suggest a different dealer - mine has been pretty piss poor but even they didn't give me a hard time when I asked for the update to the latest update... I was complaining of shifting and MPG issues though so I had the "symptoms" this update was intended to "fix" - it didn't fix them, but it did improve some and my MPGs increased back when I updated.

I've been running the tune for long time, now I'm on the A version. This past weekend was my first wheeling trip on their latest tune. 4low shifting seemed to be improved but it could be placebo effect. My question to everyone, have you ever stalled your auto? Mine stalled twice when climbing some tough hills and I've never had an auto stall. I am wondering if it's tune related? I'm going to hook up techstream and see if there are any codes. The truck started right back up each time. Nothing was overheating or hot. I was in 1st steady throttle around 2000-2500 rpm and it stalled bumping up a ledge about a foot tall.
    Any thoughts?

Off topic, but where do you go wheeling around Ft. Worth? I am wanting to get into it. Thank you!

It's fun there. Aside from stalling it was a blast

    Were you in 4low?
I'm hoping there is a code thrown. No check engine light came on. Both times right when my front tires started to bump up the ledge,
