Went to a junkyard today and all I could find is some later model 2000+ s10s some full size 90s F150 and chevys. I guess I need to keep looking. Any others work besides 70-80s S10s. l may be able to hit another yard tomorrow but would like to have a plan on exactly what I'm looking for. I am looking to gain 2.5-3".
I did this with a cherokee that I lifted and if I recall I needed 4 Cherokee leaf packs to make the springs. It turned out great and was a daily driver never noticed any sag, rode better than other cherokees with 3"+ leafs I had purchased before.

    Look at build!
I used leafs from a Dakota, 2 on each side and got my 3" I had before back plus a way better ride

Just to refresh everyones memory, as far as donor springs go you can use ANY spring off ANY model/make vehicle as long as its same width of Toyota OEM's

    Things of priority:

    1. width (this is key)

    2. thickness (try not to go too thick on donors, a little good steel goes along way)

    3. Length (not so much, but I try to get them a bit on the long side, can always cut to fit)

    4. ARC (this is where it can get tricky)

I saw lots of 2.5" and wider leafs. My stock leaf is 2.25". What else uses the 2.25" width.

You need a better tape measure brother, the one your using is short an 1/8" .... Toyota springs are right at 2 & 3/8" wide like the Chevy springs...:)

I just need to have the fundage, and I'll get some done!

Can you do under axle leaf packs? Am I now asking too much? :D

HA! Ya know Derek theres been a couple request for them but as you prolly know they have a pretty extreme ARC to them, & I got one suggestion....... Chevy S-10 1 Ton flatbed... Factory SUA with one of the prettiest set of springs I've seen yet, but I have only found 1 that was worth getting & I've already gotten it, but when I find another one I'm jumping on it for a build...

Did I call that shit or what ??..;):D

Seriously though , when I saw this beautiful (surface rust & minor scaling is no issue clean up) set of springs I thought holy shit the possibilities

& I encourage Ryan to do the same, these fuckers just may bolt right on to a 5 lug, no shit, or real close, maybe no hangers to relocate

Busted CV boots and lots of squeaks.
Question. Right now my rear is sitting on blocks. If I tried to make a new leaf pack (going for about 2.5"-3"), Could I use the shocks that are on there now till I get funds for new ones, or should I start wth the shocks and then do the leafs? I ask if I can do it this way because my leafs are SHOT. They bend down, and are almost flat:mad:. What I am thinking of doing to replace my suspension and possibly keep cost low is, buy the complete front components, and build my own rears. I want to go with OME 885's plus the packers for the 3" and just get the rear shocks and rebuild the leafs myself, instead of paying for the dakars. I think I could possibly keep the front kit cost under or around $500 (not including UCA's, probably Light Racing). Thoughts? I am leaning more towards OME than Billies 5100.
