We are the ones selling those. My dad bought them from a guy he works with for like $200 for our 07 4WD. Had my cousins friend who worked at a powder coating shop powder coat them for us for $100. After we got them back we took off the stock steelies and the new wheels center hub did not fit over the 4WD's center hub. So now were selling them. They didnt fit on my dad's 07 4WD, so my guess is no, the prerunner wheels wont fit on the 4WD's.

My next door neighbor has them on his '06 4x4. They came stock.

Here is blackwatertaco's truck, an '08 4x4, with the same wheels:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...ild-black-out-painted-gulf-states-wheels.html

Not trying to start an argument, just noting there is no such thing as prerunner vs. 4x4 wheel. The hub diameters are the same, 106 mm.

EDIT: I thought about this more, and the only causes I can think of are:
    1. Your fathers truck's hubs are damaged (not likely, since the stock steelies, which are also hub centric, fit)
    2. The power coating around the hub bore is too thick, causing the wheels to not fit over the hub

Have you tried fitting them on to your '99? Did the person you bought them from have a 4x4? Anyone with a prerunner you know that you can test fit them on?

I just wanted to lay those ideas out there because I don't want you selling those to someone who has a prerunner, who finds out they don't fit due to the thick powdercoat on the back, and then gets upset with you guys.

Also if it's something specific to your Dad's truck, I don't want you cutting out half your market by saying they don't fit 4x4's.

Something is definitely not right here.

I'm going with your #2 since those are standard gulf states wheels they put on 2 or 4 wheel drive tacomas. and from what I gather the 2nd gens are hub centric so the hub diameters have to be pretty exact.

But wait, there's more. The hub sizes are actually a different shape. Same diameter, different shape, if that makes sense. Pre-runner hubs are odd. Check it out, you'll see. The measurements on a runner are 0.7 mm off when measured top to bottom. Side to side are the same as 4x4. Weird I know!

No its cool I completely understand what your saying. I have no clue why they wont fit. We tried to fit them on a few times and we could not get it over the hub. We even measured the wheels hub diameter and is 3" (I forgot what the 07's is and I cant look at it my dad went to work) so I dont know what size it is. All I know is we couldnt get them to fit. Ill look at it again tomorrow but I have no clue why it wont fit? Maybe the powdercoating is to thick, Ill check though. Thanks guys for the help! :)

I guess I can start posting here now...just moved to Austin last month. So far I like it a lot better than where I lived in NY.

I installed it with a mechanic buddy of mine, took about 4 hours and went pretty smooth.
