its coming from the front, there is a pool of oil on top of the skid plate, so i'm going to remove that and take a look.

looks like it’s coming out of this not the pumpkin at the bottom. Is that like the cv or axle input from the right tire into the front diff?

would they even touch that side would doing the regear?

So I would definitely wipe and clean everything completely (if you can get a rag in there). Residual oil is super annoying to deal with sometimes but thats the best way to see where its coming from and observe the leak.

Where the heck did you get your regear done where you are leaking from both differentials?

gents thank you for the help and responses. I’m not going to put them on blast ...yet until I see if they can make this right. Again, thank you for the support and knowledge.

I'm sure they will make it right, just be sure its not residual oil. I blew a CV seal and dumped a 1qt of oil from the front diff and it took weeks for all the old oil to finally burn, wash, dry off.

The side tube has to be removed to re-gear. Worse though, your vent hose is not attached.

That hose being off is likely your oil leak also.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
If you got the flow send them to Cryo.

Yep, i managed to get my hand up there and its definitely the source, however i cant get an angle to get it back onto the metal fitting. I have decided to cut my losses with Mobile Gear Installers and just take it into Toyota. Hoping it doesn't cost too much... maybe i can keep my regearing a secret and they will just cover it, because the hose came off...

I finished my break in on my 5.29's this weekend.

I currently am running the OVtune 2.0 beta file. Is it worthwhile to switch to the 4.88 beta, or should I just wait for the 5.29 final version to drop?

    Are there noticeable differences?

I'm currently running the 4.88 beta. I'd personally hang on for 5.29 final to drop. I'm impatient and I'm going to flash the 5.29 beta that was released yesterday because new features yay, and because I could always use some more driveability improvement. Also, he's got a tune for the 31-33" range and 34-36" range, so I'm curious to see how that changes things, and I do actually want to give me feedback to hopefully help with releasing the final tune ASAP

I'm a little frustrated with how disorganized OVtune is. Finding info on anything is difficult.

I just updated the flash manager and it's still giving me an error and won't download any tunes.

AMEN. Thought I was the only one. I can't seem to find out what the current state of OVTune is. I always see people talking about it, but it seems like vaporware anymore.

Which version of the ECU are you running? Also you have to find the post in the thread that has the download links for the new Beta release.

    Thanks! That's super helpful.

However, you totally proved my point. We shouldn't have to dig around in a Tacomaworld thread to find info on a product we paid $700 for.

I wish I had skipped OVTune and bought my gears first. Hopefully the V2.0 5.29 tune changes my feelings about it.

If you don't follow the thread and can't find the info you shouldn't be running the Betas anyway. Wait for final release. The the first page and website will update. You are beta testing.

Or, maybe they should have the info on what's current on their own website. The thread is 3061 pages long.
