i'm pretty new to this, but on the left looks like too much finger over the trigger, or trigger resting in finger crease.. range and rifle?

can't wait till my groups are simple enough to solve with a simple tip, they're like solving da vincis code right now:infantry:

"it looks likke.. you need to aim at the target"

Left is my buddy, right is myself...he went to town dropping rounds into my targets head. Today we worked on our reload drills, immediate actions (IA's) for stoppages etc. He had his S&W 9mm, I was using his 45 ACP

Found another. It's for a high clearance but what the hay!

    yep, nope, that is perfect!
high clearance is good, just leaves me figuring out how to throw a winch mount on there somewhere... and likely a swing-out.. or at least futureproof so I can go that direction..

Found a dirt cheap Warn VR8000,at about the same time my M8000 kicked the bucket, so I justified the new winch purchase by telling myself I'd refurbish the M8000 and put it in the rear.. eventually

    thanks for finding that!

I'm thinking I want to do a swingout tire carrier as well. Had @tacoma16 link some parts for the hinge that I'll probably end up going with.

I like my smittybilt k20. Though it can be a pain to operate sometimes, I rotated the motor so I can access it through the top of the arb and relocated the solenoid under the hood. In doing so I upgraded to 1/0 AWG. Long job, but totally justifiable haha

It you relocate the spare you might be able to fit the winch there right to the frame? Keep a hole through the bumper to winch things in haha

I want to try your driveway

Kinda figured out why my vr8000 was so cheap, theres only..5.. or 6 housing bolts.. so only 5.. or 6 positions to rotate the motor housing/freespool lever, best position is not very good, bit of a wrist twister to get it into freespool.. and it was wound from factory with a big kink in it.. still not sold on synthetic line, but that will be a future upgrade once my ome886s start to tire out.. right now I need all the weight I can get up front..

I can't wait to try out my property.. MNR is making me master this whole, patience is a virtue thing.. My environmental assessment is 'have chainsaw, will travel'..

put an archangel556 stock on my 10/22(purchasd it used with 3 stocks, got bored and couldn't help myself)... and a bipod.. and mounted my cheap tasco scope... and put 100rounds thru it.. needs a riser to really be useful, but never thought a .22 could be so much fun

Even at that, not a bad price, I see them go upwards of 3k.. and totally worth it too.. Just bought me a fibreglass boat, and between boats and caps I'm pretty tempted to learn the art..

The blue one is from the 60's, pretty proud of getting that running.

welcome here.. getting closer to the next steps on the property.. just finished clearing my access road, need to re-survey my future driveway, then submit permits.. then another several months of waiting.. ho hum.. I can't really complain about how much red tape there is with living off the land these days, at least I have land..

hah, yup.. technically the cabelas parking lot, for what it's worth, but same place..

Ah. I grew up in Winnipeg, at one time that whole area on the south side of Wilkes Ave was just grassy fields - no Ikea, no Cabelas or anything.

I remember when S.I.R. was still the outdoors store in town.. Getting used to cabelas, if you wait around they have unreal deals, beyond what would be affordable for smaller shops..

Don't spend much time in the city anymore, short trips for essential gear is about all I can handle of winnipeg traffic.. Don't know how I ever handled living downtown for so long, but even that was a decade ago, before the Jets stadium got moved downtown.. pandemonium..

Is SIR still around or did it end up closing with Cabelas moving in?

They were bought out by cabelas. The cabelas used to operate out of the old location on ellice, but shut down with the new store by the Ikea..

I miss the knife counter at SIR.. always had very knowledgeable staff.. i used to go in just to talk shop, usualy left with a new knife though
