not my truck but it is an RCI skid system
if you mean that thing showing on the left; I'm not sure if other companies add wings to cover that
I've heard some people add their own wings by welding them on.

IDK if everything is compatible with each other. Like using a more front area skid from one company, and a different company farther rear; if the parts will interfere with each other bolting up properly

    Someone here mentioned aluminum.
I heard the standard a skid should be is 1/4 steel

Yeah that "thing showing on the left" is one of the catalytic converters so it looks fairly accessible.

@Talon2006 have you seen anyone install your cat plate so it sits on top on the TRD skid plate vs sandwiched?

I guess I could make a specific thread. I actually reached out to the mods about becoming a official vendor on TW and 4Runners but was rejected.

I have not seen anyone do this yet. Not sure how well it would work.

Hi @Talon2006. I currently have your cat protector installed with the TRD Pro skid plate. The cat protector is installed with it sandwich between the spacer and the TRD Pro skid plate. After the skid plate have been installed and all bolts are tightened, I get rattling now underneath the truck and I can hear it from the cab. It not really loud but it’s loud enough for me to hear it. I can’t seem to figure where the rattle is coming from. Have you heard of anyone else having the same issue?

I have not heard of anyone else having this issue. I assume you did a quick double check to make sure everything is tight?

I did double check to make sure all bolts are tight and I double checked to see if anything is hitting anything that could possibly make a rattle noise

check the side wings to see if they are contacting the trans brace if so adjust so they don’t.

Is it possible that something fell and is sitting on top of the cat plate or the TRD skid? When I did the ones on my wife’s TRD pro 4Runner I had a rattle and it was a rock in the skid.

That is possible. After work today I will inspect to see if there is a rock sitting on top of both plates

Can your product be used on a 2022 Tacoma 4x4 with an ARB Rear Driveshaft spacer installed?

I went with CatSecurity on mine because our dealership is an installer in WA for them. We had attempted cat theft on our Highlander Hybrid (all they managed to do with the chop saw was $5K in damage to the bottom of the car, but left the cats) parked right next to our house. We live in suburbia, so it was $300 insurance and no loss of time so they go look for easier marks. The HiHy stays in our garage now when not in use because no one makes a protector for a 10 y/o highlander.
