When my truck is sitting at idle I hear a mechanical ticking sound...almost as if the valves need adjusting. If I'm on the highway beside a concrete barrier I can hear the sound better as it bounces back at me off the barrier, and I only know of it because that's when I heard it for the first time. I was accelerating up a gradual but long hill with the barrier on my left and I could hear the constant tick tick tick tick. When I accelerate the sound gets louder especially if the engine is under load at low RPM.

To me it sounds like knocking but I don't want to dismiss anything else. As I have the OME 2885 with 5100s on the front and 5100's on the back with a custom AAL. Carriage bearing drop and diff drop. My truck is a 2015 6MT DCSB SR5.

At first I thought it might be a drive shaft noise but it does it when at idle in my driveway. If I give it gas in my driveway while at idle the ticking get louder.

Any thought opinion would be fantastic. Thanks for the help folks.

Not all make the noises but I'd say that most do. Mine dose so do all of the Tacoma's my company has that I've seen running.
