Whenever I turn on Low my AC or Heater I get this obnoxious ticking. I can only really hear it when its on the first couple Low settings. I can put it on high then bring it back down but it comes back after about 30 seconds.
I've tried looking in the vents but without any luck.
The dealer said "they couldn't hear it"... I don't know how that's possible, but it's gotten worse since then.
Anyone else experience this? A couple of my other friends with Tacos said they have.

its a big issue. The dealer should replace the fan motor under warranty if you're within the 3/36,000. Theres also a thread with a method to fix it supposedly, havent tried myself.... let me find the thread for ya

yep, mind does the exact same thing but so far I haven't tried to figure it out. I'm guessing that unless it's real loud the dealer won't hear it.

here ya go. Post 37 has the method to try and fix the noise....
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/18591-noise-heater-fan.html

My fan has been doing this for some time. I got the dealer to order me a fan, but that was before thanksgiving and right before I broke 36000, i've been too busy to drop off the truck to get it installed. Hopefully in a week or so I can get it installed finally. I'm now over 39000 miles, looks like I got an extra 3k out of it. lol
