Tow/Recovery hooks

I'd like to put 4 of these on my DC tacoma but I'm not sure where to mount them. I see on the front/passenger side has a hook already but it's kinda tough to get a recovery strap in there. I don't want to mess up the plastic that attaches under the front bumper if I'm getting pull out from a steep angle. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

I really like that rear option for the receiver but I'm still stuck on the front. Thanks for the links!

 

You really don't have many options since you need to bolt them to the stock location. Remove the current driver and passenger tow points that are there now cause they're worthless and replace them with these. That's what I did.

I was in the same boat and figured I would get something a lot stronger and more designed for recovery; a D-shackle designed recovery point is your best best to avoid what happened above.

 

Wow that hook is toast! Now I'm thinking about the closed loop. Hmmmm

 

I've used the stock front hook for recovery for many years without issues.

I added another one on the drivers side, replacing the tie-down. Got the hook from an old 4runner.
