Thinking about getting a Tacoma before the end of the year. I like many details of Toyota trucks, just not sure if I want to go to a truck as small as the Taco. The lack of towing capacity seems to be my biggest deterrent. 6,400 is easily reached. I like checking out the forums to see what guys are saying about their trucks and learning what to do and what not to do once the upgrade process begins.

I wouldn't say hardcore towing. Perhaps an occasional 1,000 mile trip with two motorcycles in an enclosed 16 foot trailer (Estimated weight of 4,500#). I just hate the idea of needing to pull more and not having the ability. I like the smaller size and better economy of the Taco, but life may necessitate a bigger truck. I've been all through the threads and read almost every topic about towing. I know enough not to overload a truck and get in a dangerous situation.

    Thanks!

If the towing works then great!!! ... Im on my third Tacoma... 2003 DC TRD, 2007 DC Off Road, and now 2011 DC Sport that I just got over a month ago. I was so afraid of not liking the 12's I ran out and sucked up one of the last 11's and got a great deal on it.

They gave me 23k for a trade on my 2007 with 52k on the clock which i thought was fantastic. And im not a fan of the 12's fron end, if its going to be the one going around on here. Thats why I like these trucks, they hold there value so much its crazy....
