Sorry if this has been covered, I could not find in my searches. I need to flat tow tacoma v6 auto, 4x4 behind mt rv. I am all set with the base plate, lights and brakes. I know the manual says the tacoma is not towable with the driveshaft connected. I would like some real world feedback. I will add manual hubs.

Hey Aroma - did you get to do this? I intend to set up the same this year but research proves not possible without and expensive conversions. Interested in how this went?

It is not possible to tow an auto without a driveline disconnect. It can be done with a 5 speed. I spent nearly 2 years in my search and finally found my truck earlier this year. It came equipped with base plate, wiring for lights and the driveline disconnect. The PO paid $5k for the set up. The truck also was well kept with tons of maintenance records and a fair price of $6500. As you can see the above post was made in 2018 and this was the beginning of my search and it was a long one. I almost gave up many times thinking the only way was to spend the additional money after I found the right truck, I am a lucky man.
