I have a 2010 that came with 3" lift and oversized tires.

The biggest complaint I have is that driving on a moderately windy road, the traction control comes on rather randomly. Now if you're expecting it, it's not that bad. But, I would *think* that doing the speed limit or less and driving smoothly should *not* cause it to come on. But it does.

As an example, I can take 10 similar right hand corners...on the 11th, TC comes on. If I repeat the experiment, the TC might come on in the 1st or any other. Or it might not.

Tires are all correctly inflated. I don't know for sure about the alignment (but it tracks well).

Anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

P.S. I should add that road conditions are dry and "normal" ie; nothing that should cause it to come on.

What size tires. My 09 has a 3in lift with 275/70/16 ang I have no problems with the TC coming on.

I have the same problem if I take u-turns too fast, or in my parking garage. And it's not a rub issue. I'm running 285/75/16

Wierd. You guys are making me question my goal. I have a bone stock basic 2wd 2010 Taco regular cab and I was thinking about the ReadyLift 3" with maybe 31's... I would be interested in what is causing this too.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I believe you need to have the speed sensors recalibrate at the stealership, something along those lines.

    Weird, I haven't ever had a problem with mine. I'm running 285-70-17's.

It's a pretty strange thing but i have to say, I'm surprised this even needs to be done. Seems like the system could be adaptive. Oh well.

I'll post up when i do it/get it done and let you all know if it works. Be awesome if it does.

That was where I was going. I mean think about it. Every once and a while, you get new tires. Some might be taller or wider or smaller. I don't about you, but I don't get mine from a dealer...why'd I want to go back to get the VSC reset every time I do that?

Had the VSC reset today. Jury is still out. I drove it on a road that should exacerbate the problem. I still experience the problem on some right turns but is definitely better than it was. Not perfect but better.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
i'm running a 3" and 35s w/o this issue. seems to be very hit or miss on who it happens to and who it doesnt. i went from 32s to 33s to 35s and it has never become a problem and has only gone off in wet traction situations that i assume that it would.
