I know this has been discussed before. I’m new to posting but have been lurking for a few months. I just couldn’t really find unbiased or reliable info on this.

If you’re going to tell me how stupid I am for doing this. Keep it to yourself.

Everyone has a preference. My preference on my 2017 TRD Pro is I’m looking for a more aggressive styling.

I don’t off road almost ever. I just got a good deal on this TRD and I loved the styling so I pulled the trigger. In case anyone was wondering why a pro if you don’t off road. I’m also not really worried about fuel economy.

I’m looking to do a 2.5” lift and add 33” tires. Has anyone here safely done this? I’m looking for recommendable brand of lifts.

I’m just not that knowledgeable about the current suspension. I do not want to make things terribly worse. I still want a decently comfortable ride.

Is a body lift in this option safe?

Also I’ve read about OEM lifts on the Tacoma TRD Pro’s. Is the OEM suspension adjustable?

    Thank you.

I have a 2018 PRO. I went with an ICON Stage 4, with the tubular UCA's. I did the CMC as well just for future room but currently am running 285/170/R16's

    Welcome!

you can go 33” on stock OR and Pro suspension if you get a tire that’s 255/85/16 or 255/80/17

Anything that’s wider than those (like 285s) will rub without lifting / chopping / hammering

Not a ton of choices for those sizes but the Cooper ST Maxx is pretty popular. I like mine a lot. Got them in 255/85/16

2018 Pro. Installed King 2.5 front and rear, Camburg UCA, and a set of springs out back. Was able to run 285-70-17, but did have to do the cab mount chop to fit them.
