I pulled a box trailer weighing under 3500 pounds for about 15 miles. once I parked shut off the truck and unloaded everything I went to start up the truck, the shifter was stuck in park and wouldn't light up on the dash so I had to pull off the plastic tab to shift. the check engine light is on. airbag light is on. a/c wont work it blows air but not a/c.

any ideas on what it could be? blown fuses?

I'd check all your fuses to make sure the trailer's wiring didn't do something funky to your wiring.

Did any of this happen while you were towing or did it tow fine and all happen when you tried to start it again?

Sounds like a fuse. I think the shifter lights and blinkers are fused together, I read something about yesterday or the day before. I will see if I can find it again.

The shifter lights and the marker lights are, possibly the blinkers also. I found that out because I towed a trailer with a bad wiring harness and it blew out my marker lights and center consol lights (which might be the reason your A/C doesn't work).

Try Ign fuse under the dash.

I would suggest going to one of your local auto parts stores and get them to scan the codes. It should give you a general direction to go. Most likely, as was mentioned, it is a fuse.

I have done all the hi-pro mods for a life time, since I got this truck at a great price, I will be happy with showroom new.
Yeah years ago, when we used to do work for sunbelt rentals, there spartanburg sc store had a 2 trailers they wanted us to overhaul, so I was coming back from Mobile, and they had loaded the smaller trailer on the gooseneck, just need brakes, hahahahha well they sat them outside, and I picked them up around midnight, going up on the old section of 1-85 i hit some bad pavement, and heard a loud zap, pop,.... everything died. they had so much patch together wiring on the trailer, it blew like 6 fuses on the truck..... after fixing that I had to rig up some basic light wire to get me home.
